If a 2 month old had an immune disorder would they be sicker than just having a stubborn thrush treat w/ meds?

If a 2 month old has a stubborn case of thrush that's being treated with Diflucan (2nd round of Diflucan now...first time was for 14 days %26amp; this time is 14 days...was off it for about 2 or 3 weeks between doseages as per the doctor even though it never really cleared up at first). Now doc said that if the thrush doesn't go away after this round of medicine we are going to test for immune disorders. My question is...if the baby has been out a few times in restaurants/around other people like family %26amp; friends in their home and hasn't gotten sick, is growing like a weed and gaining weight all the time and is active not showing signs of illness, would they have an immune disorder or just a BAD case of thrush?

Probably just a bad case of thrush, but follow the doctors advice.
