Should i go to prom?

my girlfriend wants to go really bad, but shes 5'11'' so she says she cant where heals or people will make fun of her and she would be taller than me, see this is no problem for me and i made that really clear to her but i cant get through to her. she is very insecure and thinks she is horrible ugly! which she isnt but its imposible to get that through her head. she is always crying because of this. i need help.

also, we really have no friends that dont drink and dont smoke weed and we dont do any of that so we have avoided them a lot lately therefore i need ideas of what to do on prom after prom with only me and my girl?!?

Should i go to prom?
I'm not sure if your girlfriend is an exception, but generally prom is a big thing for girls (at least because it's something that only comes in high school). If she really wants to go, and this is her time to go to prom, then I say take her because it will weigh on her mind if she has to go to prom without a date. So what if she's taller--my friend has a gorgeous girlfriend who is taller than he is, and she went ahead and wore really high stiletto heels anyway because it's what she wanted and you can't go wrong with something that makes you hot.



Prom plans just depend on what you guys like. Just make it a little dressier/special than usual. Otherwise, just wing it. If you guys are in a relationship and are that into each other, you should have fun spending time together.
Reply:Dinner before prom, have her wear flats with her dress so she is not taller than you.....

And talk with her parents about this insecurity with your girlfriend, or you talk with your dad he will be more than happy to give you some ideals about what to do before and after the prom..



I don't know where you live, but where I live we have carriage rides and I know a lot of the kids will take a carriage ride after the prom dance, and usually have dinner prior to the dance. or you could also go for a soda or something else to drink after wards..

You don't have to do any of this with other people.

Reply:yes you should go and let her know that it doesn't matter what people think and to be herself.. so what if she is taller than you it makes no difference whatsoever so don't worry and get out there

as for after prom well do whatever you want to do you don't need to have a fancy party for it to be prom =)
Reply:let her know that she's great looking no matter what she wears and that you're really lucky that she's even given you a shot, and that you hope she can forgive you for being too short (don't say that seriously, a cute smirk with the last comment might help to lighten it a bit)...(all models and most actresses are tall by the way). people in high school tease people no matter what. it's part of being in high school.



the guy that I went to wore cowboy boots (you could offer)...that might help with the height thing, if she wants (but boots look silly w/o the hat ;) ).



make sure to know what she's wearing as well, so that you can get flowers that go with it (ask your mom for help)



does the school sponsor after prom activities? if so, make sure you both pack clothes that are appropriate for it (i subbed as a date for a friend of mine, and he didn't mention that there was bowling afterwards...ooops!).

one school that i went to prom at had the bowling and mock-gambling (with drawings for prizes that you bought tickets for based on your winnings).

my school had some really cool raffle prizes (mini refrigerators, tvs, spa gift certificates, etc) for thos that stayed until about 4am, food, an artist, and board games after (but it was fun just playing the board games with people as everyone gets more tired and kind of silly).
Reply:you should go to prom.. tell your chick to buy a long dress and where flats.so she won't appear taller then you.. and if she does appear taller then you.. it doesn't matter as long as you 2 are together and having funn. and tell her to stop crying cause it won't change anything except hold you back. ideas of what to do after prom is idk watch a chick flick or comedy movie. just go to sleep. or idk
